Reinforcing the Guardian Data Destruction Mission to be the Leading Provider of Onsite Data Destruction and IT Asset Services
Posted in Blog
Guardian Data Destruction’s mission is to be the leading provider of onsite data destruction and IT asset services. Our 2023 Annual Company Meeting, held March 17 and 18, included all Guardian employees from across the country for a high-energy learning and team-building blitz.
Our primary objective: continuous improvement.
The benefit: A 360° reinforcement of who we are and what we do.
Learning = High Performance
Our field success is based on continuous employee development. The two-day, all-employee internal event included hands-on instruction and process reviews for Guardian’s secure, onsite IT asset services including Data Destruction (hard drive shredding, SSD shredding, magnetic tape storage shredding), Data Center and Enterprise and IT Packing and Logistics services:
- Onsite Documentation Training
- White Glove Packing Training
- IT Asset Audit Training
- Shred Safety Training
- Shred Machine Maintenance Training
- General Shred Training
Our values drive our organization
Our corporate Core Values, applied to every service, every interaction, every project, are our lodestar. New for 2023 was the Guardian Core Value Awards given to employees who best exemplified the company’s ethos throughout the year. Our congratulations to these Guardian team members for demonstrating growth, positivity and professionalism every day:

Departmental Kudos for “Above and Beyond”
Guardian Data Destruction is known for its secure processes, consistent service delivery and rapid, fact-centered decision-making in the field. 2023’s “Leader-Leader” keynote kicked off a new company initiative to develop and improve the decision-making intelligence of every employee across the organization. Based on David Marquet’s Intent-based Leadership methodology, the in-depth presentation focused on the language of “we” and building a solution-based thought process.
“We must have knowledgeable employees who feel empowered with intention. Guardian values employees who feel comfortable asking questions, performing their best work and contributing ideas – regardless of their position in the organization. I believe our implementation will lead to improved decision-making, increased innovation, and an inherently higher-performing organization.”Glenn Laga
President & Founder
Kudos for the Guardian Road Warriors
Appreciative statements for Guardian’s onsite teams were repeated and echoed throughout the two-day meeting. Our onsite team’s willingness to criss-cross the country, work late, escalate and resolve surprises and give 100% on every job is essential to the IT Asset services that Guardian delivers daily.
This commitment is highlighted in Guardian’s new “Road Warrior” social campaign and video that debuted at the company meeting.
Department managers were pleased to present awards to employees who excelled in service excellence all year. We congratulate these 2023 award-winning Guardian team members:

Across the company, policies and procedures were reviewed to control confidentiality and preserve data integrity and security across all office and offsite locations. The collective focus was creating proactive solutions internally and for Guardian customers.
- Adoption of new Project Management, Secure File Transfer, IT Asset and Warehouse Management Software (WMS) solutions
- IT certifications including CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) & CompTia Network+
- Expanded capacity Enterprise and Data Center Services:
- Network resets for Cisco and Juniper routers, switches, firewalls, and more
- Power up and Power down services
- Disk sanitization including remote hard drive erasure, customized onsite hard drive erasure, hyper-scale erasure and enterprise erasure
Connecting the team is right up our alley
While Guardian’s mission is to be the leading provider of data destruction and IT asset services, we know that our success is dependent on our warrior workforce. As individuals and teams arrived at Guardian’s New Jersey headquarters, you could feel the synergy. Because of our national onsite model, some drivers, leads and technicians see each other far less than other dedicated project teams. As reunions rolled out, job-related stories, family updates and laughs were shared. New employees were introduced and pulled into the fold. Training sessions were full of suggestions, raised hands and big smiles. Enthusiasm and excitement made the Guardian office vibrate with possibility and energy.
After a day of good training, the entire #GuardianFamily gathered for an evening of good, clean fun: bowling, dinner and trophies!
Special thanks to Alma Bank for their sponsorship, Rob Thomas NCSA-CPT for walking everyone through work-friendly stretching options and SAX LLP for their in-depth employee benefits session.
The annual meeting is an opportunity to affirm the purpose of the #GuardianFamily. Guardian Data Destruction is committed to being the best-in-class data destruction, IT packing and logistics, data center and enterprise service provider for our ITADs, resellers, VARs and MSPs.
Our goal is to ensure the secure, compliant and absolute satisfaction of every data-handling job. Any client. Any size. Any device. Anywhere.
